Yorktown Room

The Yorktown Room is cozy and comfortable with its dormer windows and coved ceilings.

This room can accommodate up to three guests with both a twin and queen bed in the room. An antique print of Cornwallis’ surrender at Yorktown, along with a rare 18th century French map of the colonies are items of interest in this room. Touches of red, white and blue give it a regimental flair.

The bathroom is tiled and features a seated shower and pedestal sink. Luxurious monogrammed cotton robes are to be found in the cupboard.. A hair dryer and wonderful shower amenities are provided. For those who wish to keep in touch with the 20th century, you will find a TV/DVD in the colonial style birdhouse cabinet. Guests control their room temperature with the wall mounted thermostat.

It is one of the great ironies of our country’s history that the most significant events of our nation’s founding and the brilliant minds that launched the most successful government in modern times all found themselves within a twenty five mile radius over the course of the 170 years from Jamestown’s founding to the British surrender at Yorktown.
